artsHOP Bradenton Beach Art Walk &
Seahorses Public Art Launch
Bradenton Beach, FL (October 27, 2017) Bradenton Beach on Anna Maria Island’s southside will celebrate the 11th Annual artsHOP by hosting an Art Walk Saturday November 11th Noon to 5pm. Bridge Street features the beach on one side and the bay on the other with art, music, food and fun in between. The Art Walk is a low-key, stand-alone activity for the busy island weekend, or a mellow prelude for the Symphony on the Sand happening later that evening at nearby Coquina Beach. Larry Wilhelm, of Longboat Key, will provide the live entertainment for the Art Walk as a pirate strolling minstrel.
Hop to all 9 Bradenton Beach stops to enter a free drawing for a Stay & Play Getaway Package including a 2 night stay at the BridgeWalk Resort, Couples Massage on the Beach, Dolphin Tour and Mini Golf. ($500+ value).
The Art Walk will also be the start of the 3rd Annual Bridge Street Public Art Project. The Mermaids and Turtles of the past two years were a community project for artists and art-lovers of all ages and abilities on and off the island. Seahorses will be first available for pickup ( for a $30 refundable fee) during the Art Walk at Sea-renity (Stop # 4). If any templates remain after artsHOP, they will be only be available until the limited quantity run. Returned Seahorses will be in a Walk-able Art Show for a month starting next January. The Public Art project is made possible once again by a donation from Island Lumber in Holmes Beach.
Getting to Bridge Street: Take the free island trolley, ride a bike or find car parking at these locations. You can also call the “Monkey Bus” at 941-565-6542.
